CORT Business Services is looking to hire a National Government Account Executive with experience in selling to the Federal Government and Military.  As a Government Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive new business within the Federal Government and Military sector, negotiate and close deals. 

The Government Executive will be the face of the company to current and prospective clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and established relationships within the Federal Government and Military sector.


   The Government Sales Executive will be responsible to:

  •  Build sales volume within assigned territory
  • Achieve sales goal government, military organizations and supporting military personnel, to include government contractors who are eligible for GSA pricing
  • Research and prospect for new sales opportunities
  • Gathering market and customer information to develop appropriate solutions to make a sale;
  • Negotiate pricing, costs, delivery and agreement terms with customers
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Maintain and develop customer and partner relationships
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • Record customer, sales, and order information onto CRM (
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and equirements;
  • Represent CORT within the West Coast territory with existing and potential customers, to include trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
  • Provide sales leadership and take the initiative to improve our sales initiatives with our customers 

•·       Strong B2G sales with 5 successful years with experience focused on selling services to the Federal Government and/or Military personnel.

•·      Prior military service with the US Navy or USMC a plus

•·      College Degree with relevance to position requirements 

•·      Experience developing sales and new business through prospecting and managing full lifecycle sales process with new and existing customers

•·      Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

•·      Goal oriented, self-motivated, confident, competitive, thorough and tenacious

•·      Researching skills to identify customer needs and maintain a strong working knowledge of industry activities and relevant market trends

•·      Proven time and territory management skills

•·         Work well in a team envioronment

•·      Proficiency in MS Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and CRMs such as


  • Position location - West Coast, preferably the San Diego area
  • Ability to travel 50 to 75%
